2 1/2 years... the amount of time it took this:
Our patient, sweet, gentle yet enduringly dumb 10 year-old golden retriever to acknowledge Peanut (in the absence of peanut butter, or any other treat waved tantalizingly at nose level).
It's a momentous day around here.

Willow STILL won't tolerate the boys.
It takes a lot of time to get over being knocked down a rung of the ladder by a tiny, illogical person.

I believe often the elder sibling is jealous of the younger. :)
My dogs took to my kids instantly, in an almost mother-like fashion.
Are you sure that she didn't sneak in the babe's room at night an kiss her? Her face looks so sweet and loving....
